Dr. Diego Posadas Pinto graduated as a medical doctor from Universidad Francisco Marroquín. He later completed his medical subspecialty as an internist at the Hospital General San Juan de Dios, where he continues to work as chief of emergency medicine for adults. 

He then continued his medical training in Mexico for 3 additional years, completing a subspecialty in clinical neurology at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán. Not satisfied, he studied at this same university the high specialty in cerebral vascular disease. This is an alteration in the neurons, which produces a reduction in blood flow in the brain, accompanied by permanent or momentary cerebral variations. It is divided into 2 subtypes, hemorrhagic and ischemic.

Finally, Dr. Posadas Pinto received his master’s degree in epilepsy endorsed by the University of Murcia in Spain. Epilepsy is a disorder of the central nervous system, where brain activity ceases to be normal. This causes periods of unusual behavior or sensations or seizures and, in some cases, loss of consciousness.

In Dr. Diego Posadas Pinto’s clinic, they have the latest technology to perform electroencephalogram, equipment for nerve conduction velocities and electromyography, or evoked potentials, for the treatment of central neurological and peripheral nerve diseases.  

Dr. Posadas Pinto has a team of sub-specialists with extensive knowledge of pediatric and adult neurological diseases, such as nerve disorders, neuropathy, and adult neuromuscular diseases.

Dr. Posadas Pinto’s vocation has always been to be a neurology physician. In practice, he discovered that one of his greatest satisfactions is to be able to help his patients, attending to the concerns that may arise in the process of recovery of their lives. For him, the most important thing is to improve the patient’s quality of life so that he or she can lead as normal a life as possible.
